A designer who codes, and a developer who designs.
Bavo De Bondt · Interactive Media Development
I study Graphic and Digital Media, specialising in Interactive Media Development. What drives me is the space where design and development meet: shaping an idea visually, then building it myself until it actually responds to the people using it.
From websites with thoughtful motion to real-time installations and 3D scenes, I'm drawn to work where people don't just look, but take part. [Add a personal line here, e.g. the moment you got hooked on interactive media.]
How Iwork
Every project starts with questions. Who is it for, what should it make them feel, and where can interaction add something meaningful?
In Figma I turn ideas into flows, layouts and prototypes, so the experience can be tested before a single line of code is written.
Then I build, test and refine. On the web with React and Next.js, or in real time with Unreal Engine and TouchDesigner.
